To celebrate the upcoming release of EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION on DVD, Buena Vista Home Entertainment (BVHE) has constructed an extreme donation. First, more than 200 Disney VoluntEARS came together to construct a “house-in-a-box” that will be shipped to the Gulf Coast as part of Habitat for Humanity’s “Operation Home Delivery.” Today at The Walt Disney Studios, this home was unveiled by EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION designers Tracy Hutson and Preston Sharp, who also presented Habitat for Humanity with a check for $100,000 from BVHE and who announced that for every EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION DVD purchased, BVHE will donate $1 to Habitat For Humanity to help deserving families rebuild their lives and their homes.

“We are proud to support this effort,” said Bob Chapek, president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment, “because we recognize the critical role volunteer efforts play in a time of disaster. That’s the same motivation behind the EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION crew each and every episode and we’re thrilled to donate $1 to Habitat For Humanity for each DVD purchased and have it go toward this important cause.”

EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION on DVD, to be released on Tuesday, November 22, features 13 one-hour episodes and 1 two-hour special episode of the Emmy? Award-winning reality television series. The premise of the show entails designers and volunteers uniting to redesign and rebuild the homes of deserving families in their time of need.
