Sinbad Movie gets CancelledPosted by: MichaelAccording to our friends at the MovieBlog "Sinbad" has been cancelled. The LA times is saying the reason is that "Stealth" was such a flop that the studio doesnt want to take a chance on "Sinbad". I guess I can understand that. Rob Cohen was in line to direct the film. This movie has been in the works for quite some time and originally had John Singleton attached as the director, but now it seems Rob Cohen is the flavor of interest. The story follows the continuing adventures of Sinbad and his crew, who are marooned off the coast of China in the 8th century. Sinbad is a famous character from "The Arabian Knights". Once ashore, Keanu as Sinbad embark on a quest for the Lamp of Aladdin, teaming up with an empress to battle fantastical creatures and a rebellious Chinese general. sounds pretty thrilling, I sure hope Salma Hayek gets to play the lovely empress. Did I mention she is lovely? Writers on the project have included Tedi Sarafian from "Terminator 3" and Cormac and Marianne Wibberley know for their writing on "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle".
