Foodfight! - Release Date and first Movie Photo

Lions Gate Films provided us with the first movie photo and the release date for the upcoming animated movie "Foodfight!" The feature will include more than 15,000 characters in what may be the largest animated scene ever. The release date is set to November 17th, 2006, and just click the small image to view the bigger version.

The film takes place in a supermarket which comes to life as a city unto itself. The film is being directed by Lawrence Kasanoff from a screenplay by Brent Friedman, Rebecca Swanson and Sean Derek, based on a story by Kasanoff and Joshua Wexler. Charlie Sheen will voice the lead role of Dex Dogtective, Eva Longoria is Lady X, the leader of the villainous Brand X group Wayne Brady is Daredevil Dan, Christopger Lloyd  is Mr. Clipboard and Chris Kattan will be Polar Penguin. They join Hilary and Haylie Duff who provide the voices for Sunshine Goddess and Sweetcakes, respectively.

The creators have acquired the rights to include nearly every consumer packaged goods company’s characters as the supermarket comes to life. Included are Mr. Clean, Charlie the Tuna, Twinkie the Kid and hundreds more, who take on the role of supporting background "actors" in the film.
