Romero's new Living Dead coming to DVD?

Posted by: MacReady
Our colleagues from Chud had the chance to talk to John Harrison, who was the Screwdriver Zombie in George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" and has worked for the director as  Assistant Director and Composer. They report that Romero's Dead movies could possibly see new life with direct to video DVD sequels. Below you can read a snippet from the article:

"I can’t talk about them too much because they’re in the nascent stages," he told me. "There are a couple of smaller projects, including one that could be really fun. I can’t talk too much about it, unfortunately, but what I can say is that it remains in the world he is known for and it would be a new DVD franchise."

That's really interesting news. To read the complete article, just click here. Direct to video could bring back more independence to George Romero as a filmmaker, but will it give him enough money for  the producrion to bring his vision to the screen? We'll see, so stay tuned for we definitely will keep you updated on this one.
