Innocent Voices National ReleasePosted by: Daniel One of the best films I have seen in recent years, "Innocent Voices" is being released nationwide for audiences to enjoy during the upcoming holiday season, and thanks to the folks at InnocentVoicesMovie.net we have are posting a list of fine theaters that will carry the film.Considered to be a prime example of a rebirth in Mexican Cinema, Innocent Voices tells the real life tale of screenwriter Oscar Torres. In it, young Chava's huge heart and unbreakable spirit come up against the real life trials of war and child conscription. Instead of being able to just be a kid, Chava must prepare for an unknown future as both sides in the Salvadorian civil war blast away at his village and force young boys into arms. The film has had plenty of high profile events and critical acclaim. It was Mexico's national submission to the Academy Awards earlier this year and had a special screening at the United Nations in order to highlight the worldwide reality of child conscription and the killing of millions of children during times of conflict in countries like Iraq. Read our review of the film here in order to see why we're saying that Luis Mandoki's Innocent Voices is a must see for 2005!
