Kevin Smith Walks from FLETCH

NewsAskew is reporting that Kevin Smith has left the 'Fletch Won' film team. He is not going to be involved at all at this point. No writing, no directing. Kapeesh?

The producer of the movie, David List, was the one to tell the world that Kevin was no longer involved. He made a point of saying it was a friendly parting of ways. I don't blame him for making that effort since Kevin Smith is an icon and has a lot of fans.

According to David, Kevin is talented but his style of comedy just won't fit the Fletch Franchise. I don't think the Fletch Franchise needs anymore movies, but hey, what do I know?
