Ted Raimi Says NO Evil Dead Remake

Ted Raimi, according to Dark Horizons, has put the smack down on the Evil Dead remake rumors. This seems a bit odd since I am pretty darn sure everyone has said they would be doing one. Dark Horizons is quotting Ted as saying No freaking way.

"Yes, I have this to say about it: there won't be one as far as I know. That's all I know. I mean there might be, there might be one but as far as I can tell there isn't. Nothing's going on with it at the moment"

And here you all just got horribly excited that Ashton Kutcher was going to star in the movie. ( Ashton Kutcher in Evil Dead ) Anyrate something doesn't seem right in this story so lets wait to see what Sam Raimi has to say about it. Last I heard, he and Bruce Campbell were shopping and would produce it.
