Tarantino Spills the Beans on Grind House

Get it? Spills the beans? Grind? Coffee? Haha.. I'm funny. Tarantino is one of my favorite directors outside of the horror genre, and for him to make a film within it is like a dream come true.

Today he spoke with MTV where he revealed a little bit about "Grind House", which he is working on with Robert Rodriguez:

"His movie is called 'Planet Terror,' and mine is called 'Death Proof,' " Tarantino revealed. "Mine is sort of a slasher film, but instead of a knife, it's a car. ... His, he's dealing with zombies and all that stuff.

I think his might end up being more violent, but I'm not finished with my [script] yet, so you never know."

Robert Rodriguez is filming a zombie movie! Somebody pinch me! He was also very excited about shooting the fake trailers that will run in-between their films as an intermission.

"That's one of the things we're looking the most forward to, shooting the phony trailers that will play in between the movies.

I'm working out my blaxploitation trailer, and possibly a kung-fu trailer, a sexploitation trailer, a spaghetti-western trailer. I just need to kind of work them out a little bit. I'm just getting them down there, but I think for sure I'm going to do the sexploitation trailer, which is called 'Cowgirls in Sweden.' "

Now all we can do is hope that Tarantino is going to follow through with this project. In the past, Tarantino has spoken about projects years before they fully come together. But thankfully, for us, they are scheduling to shoot the phony trailers early next year. As a side note, he also mentioned that he may shoot a Sin City 2 scene when he is in Texas shooting "Grind House". Hopefully this will all come together very soon.
