Bad News for Saw Fans

Damn the MPAA! Saw which will be released on September 17th is going to get edited. That is something I hate to hear when it comes to a movie of this calibur. In an interview on Bloody-Disgusting, James Wan spilt the beans about the theatrical release of the film.

The version that is making the festival runs is the one I wanted to release. The theatrical version has been trimmed to make the 'R' rating. I want to re-instate the full version for the director's cut DVD at some point. But the really amazing thing is that, there's only ONE ENDING to SAW! I didn't have to shoot any alternate ones. In this day and age of multiple endings, I'm really proud that we managed to get away with this one.

I guess we will have to wait for the DVD to fully enjoy this film.
