Young Hannibal Renamed & Going Ahead

According to Horror-Movies.ca "Young Hannibal" is on a roll and is also having a slight name change. It seems that the film is now going by "Behind the Mask: Young Hannibal". Yesterday Dark Horizons reported that the film is preparing to shoot on October 10th in Prague.

Peter Webber will be directing and Gespard Ulliel will star as Young Hannibal. Gong Li will also appear in the movie as Lady Murasaki. Her character is a woman who takes care of Hannibal after he runs away from an orphanage. She than becomes the subject of a cruel revenge plot by Hannibal.

Rounding out the cast will be Rhys Ifans, Richard Brake (Batman Begins) and Kevin McKidd (Dog Soldiers). The Weinsteins will be handling the project and it is projected to have a release date sometime in the summer of 2006.
