Edgar Wright directing Marvel's Ant-Man ?Posted by: MacReadyA few days ago we reported about Marvel Entertainment, together with Paramount distributing, bringing us 10 new Superhero movies. One of them is the Ant-Man. Now IGN reports that Edgar Wright (writer and director from "Shaun of the Dead") is "poised" to direct "Ant-Man" Wright apparently plans on making Ant-Man a comedy. Till now there is no official statement that proofs it, so i take this as a rumor for now, but it definitely would be a great chance for Wright. I just hope, if he does the movie, that he somehow can get Simon Pegg (co-writer from "Shaun") involved too. Co-opting the technology of Dr. Henry Pym, the original Ant-Man, Scott Lang can shrink to subatomic levels -- and effect similar changes in other people and objects. Ant-Man's cybernetic helmet grants him the ability to communicate telepathically with insects, incorporates sound-amplification technology that allows normal-sized humans to register his muted speech, contains a retractable Plexiglas face shield and houses a limited air supply. Ant-Man's arsenal also includes belt canisters of reducing and enlarging gas. In addition, he possesses electronic, glove-mounted "stingers" based on those Pym wore as Yellowjacket.
