Richard Gere's The Hoax begins production

Jennifer Layne Park who plays one of the small roles in the upcoming THE HOAX movie dropped us a line tolet us know production has begun. The movie stars, Julie Delphy, Hope Davis Richard Gere, Alfred Molina and Marcia Gay Harden . The movie is a biopic about Clifford Irving, the man who, in the early 1970s, wrote and sold a bogus biography of Howard Hughes to the premiere publishing house McGraw-Hill.

Richard Gere will portray Clifford Irving, Julie Delpy will play Irving's mistress and Hope Davis will play Andrea Tate, an employee at McGraw-Hill.

The movie is written by Bill Wheeler and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios. Producing are Mark Gordon and Leslie Holleran, along with Joshua Maurer, Betsy Beers and Bob Yari. Gary Levinsohn is the executive producer.
