Daniel Craig is in the INVASION!

Daniel Craig a very talented character actor has signed on for Invasion. He will star alongside Nicole Kidman. Nicole is not one of my favorite actors but it should be intersting to see her in this role. This was originally billed as a sequel to Invasion of the BodySnatchers, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Oliver Hirschbiegel's "Invasion" will be no "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" Remake. The project originated as a remake of the classic Sci-Fi movie, but when writer David Kajganich turned in his take, the studio thought it had something fresh on its hands. Now the movie is aid to be neither a reimagining nor a remake of the movies made after Jack Finney's classic science fiction novel.

The story takes place after a mysterious epidemic alters the behavior of human beings and follows a Washington psychiatrist (Nicole Kidman) who discovers that its origins are extraterrestrial. She must fight to protect her son, who may hold the key to stopping the invasion.

Joel Silver, who is producing, said about the movie and casting Nicole Kidman, "It's a very insidious story about how the end of the world can come through science and disease and not through explosions. Oliver really understands the kind of dark character study that this is going to be. He fell in love with Nicole, he said he really wanted her, and it took us a while to make the deal."

The Warner Bros. Pictures movie will be co-financed by Village Roadshow Pictures, and the film is scheduled for a late September shoot in Baltimore.
