We wrote the script (myself, travis nicholson, and seth pomeroy) about 2 1/2 years ago and let it sit around. A few months back we got the idea to shoot some scenes and pooled our resources to make that happen. Panavision donated a 35mm camera with anamorphic lenses, kodak donated the film and a local grip/lighting house in town, DR&A, donated all of the gear. We got a cast and crew of friends out for the weekend and made the trailer.
The story is set around a group of rednecks who run a meth lab. One day the meth lab explodes, kills one of the dudes, the others decide to bury him out back and, of course, later that night he comes back as a zombie. One character, Bobby, is the sensitive type and doesn’t want to let the others kill the zombie because he’s a friend. He decides to yank his teeth out and keep him around as a “friend. No one knows about the other zombies (the ones that our main zombie created when he got loose before being wrangled and tied up). This is where the movie kicks in, the karate/sword wielding little brother, randy, steps up, mends his relationship with his deadbeat older brother, Shane, and helps save the town.
