Actors Paul Giamatti (Cinderella Man, Sideways, Paycheck) and Monica Bellucci (The Brothers Grimm, Tears of the Sun, Matrix 2 and 3) are in early talks to join New Line's action thriller Shoot 'Em Up. Clive Owen is the first name I could find associated with this film so far though. You might remember him from Sin City, King Arthur, or the short films from BMW entitled The Hire where he played as a transporter in the BMW auto line.
Screenwriter-director Michael Davis (Double Dragon lol screenwriter, Monster Man) is currently listed in the Writer and Director spots for this film. The project will be produced by Angry Films' Don Murphy, Susan Montford and Rick Benattar (The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen).
Shoot 'Em Up "begins with a woman having a baby during a shootout. The man who delivers the baby, called simply Mr. Smith (Owen), is entrusted with protecting it from an army of gunmen. Giamatti would play the villain who wants the baby dead, and Bellucci would be Owen's love interest." Filming on this could begin as early as January
