Bruce Cambpells, The Woods Finally Gets a Release Date

Lucky McKee's "The Woods" starring Bruce Campbell has finally gotten a release date. According to Horror-Movies.ca, rumour was that the MPAA was having trouble with the word "Firecrotch" and wanted it removed. At any rate the film is set for a moderate release on September 16.

Now what is a "moderate" release? Well its when a film opens in less than 600 theatres. So it looks like Sony doesn't have much confidence that this film will do well. We'll find out what Sony's real intentions are in a couple of days. 

In the Woods, Heather, a neglected teenager, is dropped off by her parents at a remote all-girls boarding school deep in the forest. Watched over by sinister headmistress Ms. Traverse and her staff, Heather is tormented by her classmates and is desperate to go home.

But when students start disappearing and she begins to have horrifying visions, she realizes things aren't what they seem.  Bruce Campbell stars in this film as the father of Heather!
