Haley Joel Osment is Indiana Jones?

Well ok then. According to TheIndyExperience Haley Joel Osment is lined up to play Indiana Jones.. the young version that is. According to the site he has been in talks since 2000 and is the front runner for the role.

The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment will take over as Indiana Jones on the big screen if Harrison Ford's last starring turn as the action archaeologist is a hit.

The 17-year-old actor remains the favourite to play Young Indiana Jones in a string of new movies and would start work as soon as the fourth Indiana Jones film is released in 2007 if he is awarded the part.

So if Harrison Ford does well, then a whole new generaiton of young indie flicks will come. Honestly I dont have high hopes for this working.. this afterall is not the 80's and the generation of slap stick action flicks.. oh wait Dukes of Hazzard, maybe it is?
