Haley Joel Osment as Young Indy?

I just read at our colleagues from the Indy Experience Haley Joel Osment taking over the role of Young Indiana Jones in a new series of Young Indy flicks. Osment as young Indy? Would that work? No idea, but read on for the news:

The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment will take over as Indiana Jones on the big screen if Harrison Ford's last starring turn as the action archaeologist is a hit.

The 17-year-old actor remains the favourite to play Young Indiana Jones in a string of new movies and would start work as soon as the fourth Indiana Jones film is released in 2007 if he is awarded the part. A source tells website Moviehole.net, "Haley Joel Osment was in talks, in 2000, to do a variation on Young Indy. At 17, he's the right age for the role."

Since nothing is officially confirmed we should take this at what it is right now, a rumor. But do i really want to see Young Indy movies? I want to see the REAL Indy !

As i said earlier, please hurry up with the production of "Indiana Jones 4" guys, Harrison Ford isn't the youngest anymore. And you definitely have to include Sean Connery, even if he said he wants to stop making movies. He also said he wouldn't play 007 after "Diamonds Are Forever" again, but then returned as the agent with the license to kill in the unofficial Bond movie "Never Say Never Again".
