Trying out something new now. What I am going to do is do a new column called the "George Romero Minutes" and in it we will put the latest and greatest happenings with the man the myth the legend. Starting with some new Land of the Dead News. If you would like to contribute to this column drop us a line.

Questions Romero has recently answered

Question: Hey guys, thanks for your patience with those who keep asking all the Land of the Dead/Dead Reckoning questions. Some of these folks have been waiting for this movie for almost 20 years (only 15, personally) so I guess its somewhat understandable. I think its safe to say that we've lost none of our enthusiasm for Diamond Dead, however, its just that information seems to have stalled and we are just waiting for that next bit of progress to happen before we launch into another barrage of relevant questions.

George Romero's Answer:
Thanks. DD will be my next film.

Question: Congrats on Land of the Dead. About the character and the qoute, I thought it'd be cool to have a character, "Jerry Wright" who is mentioned at least once in every one of my screenplays, mentioned in a Romero film, but never mind. Anyhow I was curious to know where "Land of the Dead" willl be filmed, and are you going to use Tom Savini. And about the music score, I think that Mark Korven would be a great choice too. He did the score for "Cube", a film I strongly suggest you see if you haven't already.

George Romero's Answer:
Pittsburg

Romero talked to screendaily.com and had some interesting things to see about the films and why it took so long to get to Land of the Dead

"People ask me why I've waited so long to do another Dead film," "I made one in the 60s, one in the 70s, one in the 80s. The only reason I missed the 90s is because I wanted to stay faithful to the tradition, while coming up with something new. I wanted to kick some ass. I hope I've done that now."

So kids what did we learn today? Well we learned that the Land of the Dead is filming in Pittsburg and that after Land of the Dead Mr. Romoero's Next film will be Diamond Dead. Stay tuned for our next edition of the Romero minutes, and be sure to get your wallets out to scoop up tickets to Land of the Dead when it comes out.

We also learned that George Romero wants to kick some ass! I say lets help him kick some box office ass when his film comes out!
