NANNY MCPHEE has been adapted for the screen by Academy AwardÂ®-winning screen writer Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility) from the â€˜Nurse Matildaâ€™ series of childrenâ€™s books by Christianna Brand. The film is directed by Kirk Jones (Waking Ned) and stars Colin Firth (Bridget Jones), Angela Lansbury (Beauty and the Beast, Murder She Wrote), Kelly MacDonald (Finding Neverland, Trainspotting) and Thomas Sangster (Love Actually). Newcomers Eliza Bennett, Jenny Daykin, Raphael Coleman, Sam Honywood, and Holly Gibbs play the younger Brown children.

The film also stars the inimitable Celia Imrie (Calendar Girls), the legendary Derek Jacobi (Gladiator), the charming Phyllida Law (Saving Grace) and the Award-winning Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake). NANNY MCPHEE is produced by Lindsay Doran, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. The co-producer is Glynis Murray. The film was shot at Pinewood Studios and on location throughout the UK.
