Watch the international Rent Trailer

Sony just released the international trailer for "Rent", directed by Chris Columbus. Jonathan Larson's popular rock opera Rent, based on Puccini's opera La Boheme, has been rewritten for the big screen. Rent is one of the longest running shows on Broadway, and has won numerous awards including the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The film is the tale of a group of bohemians who struggle paying rent as artists in New York's East Village while overcoming poverty, illness, and AIDS. A number of the members from the original Broadway cast are apearing in the film, including Idina Menzel (Maureen), Jesse L. Martin (Tom Collins), Adam Pascal (Roger), Anthony Rapp (Mark), and Wilson Heredia (Angel).
