"Forbidden Warrior," the new action-packed feature film from leading producer and distributor Cinamour Entertainment, is slated as one of the highly anticipated feature films during the debut of the Action On Film International Film Festival taking place this weekend as part of the Long Beach International Film Festival.
The premiere screening is set for Saturday, July 30, at 1:45 p.m. in screening room 4 this weekend in Long Beach, CA, at the Long Beach Convention Center.
"Forbidden Warrior" stars Marie Matiko (Gang of Roses, The Art of War [with Wesley Snipes]) as the beautiful Seki, a girl who discovers that she is the only living person who can control the "Gaia Za," an all-powerful book of spells – and she must learn to use her gifts to save the world. Marie's nomination for "Breakout Action Star" marks the first time the festival has nominated a female lead for an action film.
"Forbidden Warrior" is our first feature film production and we're excited to screen it for the attendees of this action-oriented festival," said Glen Hartford, CEO of Cinamour Entertainment. "This is a very exciting script and behind the direction of Jimmy Nickerson and the acting of Marie Matiko we feel that this will be a fan favorite."
In addition to being nominated for "Breakout Action Star," "Forbidden Warrior" is nominated for "Best Cinematography" and, additionally, the film will receive the "Alan J. Bailey Award for Excellence in Film," which is given to films that surpass the bar with regards to action, content, performance or technical aspects.
