High Tension Unrated DVD coming !

Good news for all horror fans. Besides releasing the R-rated cut, Lions Gate now decided that the unrated version of "High Tension" (review) also will be available October 11th. Both versions will feature options to screen the film in its U.S. theatrical audio version (with mixed use of languages), the original French version with English subtitles or with full English dubbing.

The Extras will include a director/writer commentary with Aja and co-scripter GrÃ©gory Levasseur, a director and lead actress select-scene commentary with Aja and star CÃ©cile De France and Making Of, Make-Up FX and Building Tension featurettes, and of course a lot of various trailers for the film.

"High Tension" tells the story of Marie and Alexia who are classmates and best friends. Hoping to prepare for their college exams in peace and quiet, they decide to spend a weekend in the country at Alexiaâ€™s parentsâ€™ secluded farmhouse. But in the dead of night, a stranger knocks on the front door. And with the first swing of his knife, the girlsâ€™ idyllic weekend turns into an endless night of horrorâ€¦

In my opinion "High Tension" is one of the best horror movies i've seen in the last years. And if you always wanted to see the movie in its full glory, you need to check out the unrated DVD.
