Official Synopsis and Cast for The Hills Have Eyes Remake

Fox Searchlight provided us with the official synopsis for Alexandre Aja's remake of "The Hills Have Eyes". Wes Craven, who directed the original film, will produce together with Peter Locke and Marianne Maddalena. The new screenplay is written by director Alexandre Aja and Grégory Levasseur who also wrote "Furia" and "Haute Tension" together. Now read on for the official synopsis:

A new take on Wes Craven's 1977 film of the same name, THE HILLS HAVE EYES is the story of a family road trip that goes terrifyingly awry when the travelers become stranded in a government atomic zone. Miles from nowhere, the Carters soon realize the seemingly uninhabited wasteland is actually the breeding ground of a blood-thirsty mutant family...and they are the prey.

The cast now includes Aaron Stanford, Ted Levine, Kathleen Quinlan, Vinessa Shaw, Emilie de Ravin, Dan Byrd and Robert Joy.
