Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis Filming in Chernobyl

Ok to me this is just friggin scary. A Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis is being filmed in Russia at chernobyl. That place is creepy not to mention LETHALLY radioactive.

The producer Anatoly Fradis, who i will refer to as a "crazy bastard" from here on out in this news item says.

"Yes, it is a holy site ... but at the same time, we're shooting a movie and they are getting paid. There are certainly places where people died or were burned and we are not invading those places."

The team have been given permission to shoot a few hundred yards from where the explosion took place in 1986. Fradis codename Crazy Bastard and  director Ellory Elkayem and line producer Angelo Pastore recently went on a scouting visit to the plant, which still holds 90 tonnes of nuclear fuel.

They were armed with a Geiger counter(good planning I would say). The director was quotted as saying

 "Sometimes, it made strange noises,"

Fradis aka Crazy Bastard also had some time to admire the wildlife, he is quotted as saying.

"We saw a catfish that was 80lb. We saw a deer that was enormous - the size of almost an elephant."

Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave From the Grave is the sequel to this one, and they are both being shot back to back.

I wonder if Chemo is a negotiated benefit of filming two movies in a row in chernobyl. I think that this is the craziest news item we have posted in awhile, be sure to leave your comments on the discussion boards.
