Monster House Digital 3-D

According to Variety we will all have some 3-d action in the theatres coming July 2006. Sony and Amblin Pictures are going to be putting the flick "Monster House" into 100 theatres in true 3d. At the same time they will also launch a regular 2d version.

The technology being used is the same as what was used for Polar Express, with motion capture, etc. The 3-d is being provided by Real D in theatres already using digital projectors. The movie Monster House follows three kids who must battle a house determined to eat every trick-or-treater on Halloween.

Peter Jackson, James Cameron and George Lucas are all gung ho for 3d. Lets just hope its better then Spykids 3d which was so bad in 3d, I dubbed it "crapovision" and walked away after 10minutes. Great little family movie, the 3d was ATROCIOUS.
