New hope for Mad Max 4 !

According to Empire Magazin "Mad Max 4" is not dead yet. The Australian director said that even if Mad Max himself, Mel Gibson, hasn't signed yet and is far away from doing so, he is still planing to do the movie.

Being asked about the sequel and the expectations the fans have Miller said: "Yeah, there's a real hope. You don't sit there saying, 'Oh, I better make this film better than the last one'. You say, 'is this a great story'?"

"The last thing I wanted to do is another Mad Max, but this came along, and I'm completely carried away with it. We were about to do the film, but the war came and the American dollar crashed and it was almost impossible to ship vehicles to our location. We had a deadline, and we couldn't meet it. We also had a deadline on Happy Feet, so we said, 'It's one or the other'. So it's happy feet".

Another Mad Max movie would definitely rule. I really loved the first ones and hope George Miller can make a 4th movie. If Mel Gibson won't star again, I just hope they bring a good story and reason for calling the movie Mad Max 4. But lets think positive. Why shouldn't Mel portray Max Rockatansky again? It's the character that made him the star he is now.
