Steve Niles Books to become Movies!

According to Horror-Movies.ca Lions Gate has acquired the film rights to several Steve Niles graphic novels. Some of the films will be starring Thomas Jane who most of you will remember from Punisher. The first bunch of films will be based off of The Lurkers, In the Blood, and The Dark Country. All of which will star Thomas Jane which he will also produce along with Steve Niles.

Tab Murphy has already been hired to write the screenplay for "The Dark Country". According to Variety, Niles has said he and Jane are launching a banner, called Raw Entertainment, to create comics and genre film fare. Jane and Niles' company will have a first-look deal with Lions Gate to produce other projects that Niles creates or that they bring to the mini-major.
