New Movie: The Baxter

For those of you who don't know, a "Baxter" is a guy that girls end up with because they can't have the one they really want.

In this new IFC film, Elliot Sherman (Michael Showalter) is an average joe accountant who has had his share of runaway brides. Before swearing off romance for good, Elliot falls in love and plans a wedding with beautiful magazine editor Caroline Swann (Elizabeth Banks).

With the wedding just right around the corner, Caroline's long-lost love returns and heats things up. Instead of throwing in the towel, Elliot teams up with a new friend and learns how to take charge of his destiny and break out of the "baxter" mold.

Opening in NY August 26th and LA September 2nd.
