Hellboy 2 Script Gets Approved!

Director Guillermo del Toro on the official hellboy boards announced the Hellboy 2 storyline has been officially approved by Revolution Studios! This means that we are on our way to a Hellboy sequel. I have not seen the first one, but will and when I do I will decide if it warrants a sequel.

At the recent DreamCon Ron Perlman was the guest of honor. Ron said that actual filming for Hell Boy 2 will start in about 14 months, or August 2005, pre-production starts in January 2005

Mike Mignola will develop the new story for "Hellboy 2" with del Toro. The feature film was based on Mignola's Dark Horse Entertainment television series.

"'Hellboy' was a tremendously successful and unique project,

"It was Guillermo's vision that brought the film to the marketplace, and we are delighted to be working with him again." Revolution partner Todd Garner said.

Fellow Revolution partner Tom Sherak is also quotted as saying

"We are excited to be making the sequel to 'Hellboy' and to be bringing back the amazing creative team that made it so memorable.

The film was made for a relatively low cost and has performed magnificently here in the U.S., and we look forward to it continuing its successful run internationally."
