Halo Movie getting Shopped

According to Variety, Halo is being shopped to the highest bidder. So far no takers and New Line and Dreamworks already have passed over concerns with the script and the budget being INSANE. The script is being written by Alex Garland who wrote 28 Days later and it is said he made a cool $1million to do the script for Microsoft. Phew wish I was a writer.

Apparently one of the big issues Microsoft has is control. Surprised? They have strict rules on how this movie will be made and the fact that their is to be NO deviation from the storyline that will impact the games. Makes perfectly good sense. Do you think they have contacted Uwe Boll to direct it? Halo games have made almost a billion dollars and no question this could be a huge money maker if done right.
