Mission Impossible 3 is a GO!

Ahh yes just yesterday we had all the nay sayers about Tom and his coo-coo for cocoa puffs antics. Well just today The Monkey Peaches website says that, according to Shanghai Youth Daily, Paramount Pictures has signed a deal with Warner China Film for Mission: Impossible 3.

Production in China will be done exclusively in Shanghai and nine locations in the old and new districts have been picked. The Shanghai Youth Daily also claims that Michelle Yeoh may play Tom Cruises ex-wife in the third Mission Impossible 3.

According to ChinaBroadcast, Mission Impossible 3 will be shot in China and the superstar will drive a motorcycle loaded with guns on the streets of Beijing and Shanghai. The film's producer Zhang Jiazheng said that the shooting in China will start in July 2005.

In "M-I:3," Tom Cruise is set to reprise his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt, with Scarlett Johansson, Kenneth Branagh and Ving Rhames rounding out the cast.

The third movie will be directed by J.J. Abrams. Abrams, the screenwriter of Armageddon, is also the creator of Alias and Felicity as well as a writer on the new television series Lost. The 1996 original was directed by Brian De Palma, and the 2000 sequel by John Woo.
