Texas Chainsaw Prequel gets a Director

Ah yes the only thing better then a remake is a prequel. I am sure that Lorkanox our regular and resident "I hate remakes" member will agree. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jonathan Liebesman is going back in time, signing on to direct the untitled "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" prequel that Platinum Dunes is producing for New Line Cinema. Now I'm not really excited about a prequel to a remake.

Of course we all know that Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing via Platinum Dunes. I guess we can all expect alot of gore and some guy with a human skin mask.

 The story will go back to his roots to explain why he turned out the way he did. Which sort of ruins the mystery of the character if you ask me. But than again this isn't even the Sawyer we all know and love but a character developed by Bay and company.
