Excl: Dante Updates us on The Ocean

Dante Tomaselli one of our favorite directors wrote in to let us know how things are going on his upcoming film. The Ocean. You will know Dante from his work on Horror, and the up and coming Satans Playground just to name a few. Here is what Dante wrote in to say.

Well, I've returned from location scouting in Rincon Puerto Rico. Lots of spooky caves and atmospheric, tropical beaches there. I made many contacts on the island. They know that THE OCEAN crew will be coming. I was told by local surfing experts there that the best season for big waves is from November to March.

So I do consider that the window to when I can shoot there. Most importantly, I finished the script and am just polishing it now. If I feel it's not satisfactory I would definitely be open to collaborating with another writer. I know my real strengths are directing and score composing. Speaking of the score, I've been composing a lot of it on my Roland Synthesizer and it's very much inspired by John Carpenter's THE FOG.
