John Carpenters Psychopath coming !

Wow. A long time we didn't hear much from the director of genre classics like The Fog and Halloween, and now John Carpenter has so much upcoming projects. According to Variety, my favourite director is taking his next project to game consoles and the bigscreen simultaneously.

As the E3 vidgame confab opened in Los Angeles May 17th, the horror director is teaming with Titan Productions on "Psychopath," a new project to be developed concurrently as a videogame and film. Psychopath is about an ex-CIA operative called back into action to stop a serial killer who begins to question his own sanity.

Carpenter will oversee the game and direct its produced scenes and is attached to helm and co-write the film, along with Todd Farmer ("Jason X"). Recently he has been on the set of "The Fog" remake (which he co-produces) and gearing up for his "Masters of Horror" epsiode.

Another project John Carpenter is working on is The 13th Apostle, by a script from Paul Margolis and Carpenter's wife and longtime producer Sandy King will produce the movie along with Elizabeth Wang-Lee, Oliver Hengst and William J. Johnson for Inferno Distribution.
