Romero to Appear in Special Editition Shaun of the Dead

A special edition Shaun of the Dead DVD is coming featuring a video with George Romero the king of the zombie genre. Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright creators of Shaun of the Dead wanted a documentary piece for their special edition DVD and Romero agreed so long as they came and played zombies in Land of the Dead. Apparently George wanted to give Edgar Wright a speaking part but he refused.
"George wanted to give me a speaking part, but I said, 'No, I want to do a zombie, that's what I came to do,'"
 Sci-Fi Channel reports that during the final reshoots for Land of the Dead they did meet and did indeed record it for the DVD release. It is great to see the creators of Shaun of the Dead involved with the creator of the zombie genre. Look for Land of the Dead in theatres very soon and look for the special edition Shaun of the Dead DVD Coming soon!
