Frost's Night of the Living Dead ReviewPosted by:The Frost Man is back! It's been awhile since my last review, yes. But I'm back. In honor of George A.Romero's "Land of the Dead." I'll be posting reviews on the entire dead saga, including remakes. So lets start with the good ol'black and white masterpiece,"Night of the living Dead." The 1st film in the Dead saga,...when by unknown circumstances, the recently deceased, return to life and "seek human victims." Barbara and her brother happen to be visiting a distant cemetery for they're mother, when this lovely incident occurs. When her brother is attacked and killed by a flesh eating corpse, she takes up hiding in an old, seemingly abandoned farm house. She meets a man named Ben,who was also looking for help. Together, with other people hiding in the house, they board up the house to try to keep the living dead out,as they grow in numbers. Between constant fights for supremacy between Ben and Cooper, conflicts and problem solving rises. The need to find the key to gas pump,to fill up a truck and leave, and get Coopers daughter to a hospital, who was "bitten". Can they get along and work together long enough to escape? Or will they zombies overcome them in the night? The film for being as old as it is,still creeps me out even now. It was fantastic for its time, and became a legend that spawned more to the story. I love the film, and always will. I recommend it to everyone,...if you can handle that kinda thing. lol. -Frost.
