New Untouchables Movie Spin Off

Another spin off is in the works. This time The Untouchables is getting the treatment. The Untouchables was a 1987 feature directed by Brian De Palma and starring Kevin Costner as Eliot Ness and Robert De Niro as Al Capone.
 
At the moment it looks like Antoine Fuqua may direct the film. The original film was a classic mob story and one of my favorites. I look forward to seeing a remake of the untouchables movie. Sean Connery was one of my favorite characters, as the bad ass street cop.

Right now the working title for the movie is The Untouchables : Mothers Day. It will focus on the rise of the Chicago kingpin Al Capone, years before Ness and his lawmen.
