Jackman not starring in Superman Returns

Remember the scoop about Hugh Jackman starring as Jonathan Kent in Bryan Singer's upcoming "Superman Returns"? According to Moviehole the "X-men" star is not a part of the new film about the Man of Steel.

Our colleagues said they checked in with those in the know who confirmed that it's rubbish. "Jackman has been hanging around Bryan Singer because they're friends - and Jackman's in town at the moment".

There is speculation that the plot will revolve around Superman's battle with Lex Luthor and a mysterious killer from Krypton who has come to hunt down the Man of Steel.
 
The cast includes Brandon Routh as Superman, Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane, Hugh Laurie as Perry White, James Marsden as Richard White, Sam Huntington as Jimmy Olsen. Kevin Spacey is playing Lex Luthor. Kal Penn will portray Stanford, Luthor's right-hand man and Parker Posey will play Kitty Koslowski, Lex Luthor's villainous henchwoman.
