Courteney Cox starring in SciFi Comedy ZOOM

After Tim Allen now Courteney Cox also joins the cast for Peter Hewitt's upcoming movie "Zoom". The movie is based on Jason Lethcoe's comic book "Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted" and centers around aging superhero Captain Zoom (Allen) who has lost his powers and is forced to mentor a group of very gifted young people.

In Revolution Studios' film, Cox will play a scientist with the secret agency that runs the academy. Besides starring in the movie Tim Allen also co-wrote the script together with Adam Rifkin, David Berenbaum and Matt Carroll.

First scheduled for March the production now will begin in July. Peter Hewitt ("Garfield", "The Borrowers") will direct and Columbia Pictures plans to release the film in 2006.
