Spider-Man 2 Showing in Imax Theatres ?

It has just been announced that Imax is in talks with Sony Pictures to remaster the film for Imax screens. This would be a cool experience for any fan of the Spider Man movies. Not to mention Sam Raimis brilliant camera work. Hopefully this will come through and we will be able to see Spider Man larger than life. The official report from The Hollywood Reporter is below..

Imax Corp. is in discussions with Sony Pictures to remaster "Spider-Man 2" for release in its large-format theaters shortly after the webbed one bows in 35mm today, the companies confirmed. The move is a result of Warner Bros.' decision not to release its upcoming "Catwoman" in Imax because visual effect delays won't give Imax enough time to remaster the film with its DMR technology for day-and-date release July 23. "When I do the Imax films, my policy is to go day-and-date," said Dan Fellman, president of distribution at Warner Bros. Pictures. "We had very late delivery of the elements (on 'Catwoman'), and we can't go day-and-date, so we're not going to go at all."
