Confirmed Breed Cast

About a week ago we reported that Ian Somerhalder had landed a role in "The Breed". Well he did in fact land a role in a Craven flick but its not "The Breed" but "Pulse". That said, in Nick Mastandrea's directing debut, Michelle Rodriguez, Taryn Manning, Oliver Hudson, Hill Harper and Eric Lively will topline "The Breed".
 
In Hollywood Reporters announcement they refer to the project as a "indie horror" film. I think the word "indie" is getting thrown around alittle too easily nowadays.

The film tells of two brothers, one a highly athletic daredevil and the other a much more serious and sensitive type, who in the midst of trying to patch up their wonky relationship - on a getaway at their Uncle's house - are forced to flee a pack of vicious killer dogs - the titular 'Breed'.

Shooting is expected to begin Monday in South Africa. Once again, an "indie" film that has access to South Africa?
