I knew I was in for something special when I first heard that this movie was being made. Frank Miller being a pillar in the comic world and Robert Rodriguez always sets out a visual buffet on the screen I can't get enough of.

Hell, I even enjoy watching the spy kids trilogy with my kids just because his energy shine through so vividly on those bits of adolescent pablum. Rodriguez not only has developed on of the best eyes for cinema he has an open love of entertainment that gets imprint on every piece of work he's involved in. The man is a big kid with a gift for sharing his visions with us.

Better yet he brought Frank Miller's gifts to us. That is a whopping good deal for fans of film. The effects in SIN CITY are wonderful. The acting is all above par. The soundtrack sucks you into the seedy underbelly of basin city. What more can you ask for? Well Tarantino's mixed up in there as well. That's a bonus, but if you ask me to tell you where he did his guest directing.

The whole thing has a dark side and his influence could be anywhere in there. This movie melds with the graphic novels that it is based upon in a way I've never seen achieved. I'd love to tell you more but beating around the bush is better I believe. Go check it out for yourself. Everyone should and everyone should see it with fresh untainted eyes. This is a really fresh piece of cinematic magic and...AHHH JUST GO SEE IT!
