Dead News Report - News from director Bill Allan

Bill Allan, director and writer of "Dead News Report" emailed me, and wrote about the current status of his production. The movie was planned to be released in 2004, but due to some problems Bill wasn't able to prceed as planned. But now it looks like everything will be ok and filming can continue, but read for yourself.

As spring approaches we are gearing up for more production on "Dead News Report", and we hope to conclude production this summer.

The road to completion of this project has been a long one indeed, but we are confident that this project will establish us as worthy contributors to the independent zombie genre.

THX to Bill for giving us an update for "Dead News Report".

The movie starts out behind-the-scenes in the studios of WDNR, where we see the chaos of trying to run a news studio while zombies are terrorizing the whole world. The opening sequence establishes the lay out of the facility, showing offices, conference rooms, copy/fax rooms, and the studio floor and control rooms. We see crewmembers trying to keep up with their jobs on camera, lighting and sound, reporters on phones getting updates, anchors broadcasting, and the director arguing with the producers. We get a general sense of the high stress, anxiety, and tension in the studio environment, which is a microcosm for the world outside.....
