Free Bruce Campbell Film : The Blind Waiter

 In 1980, soon after we got back from shooting "Evil Dead," I hooked up with Scott Spiegel and we decided to make a slapstick comedy together, with the usual gang of idiots, Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert.  We initially wrote the script as "The Blind Waitress," and we wanted Ellen Sandweiss from ED to play the lead, but she was unavailable. 

 So, we rewrote it as "The Blind Waiter," cast Bruce in the lead, Sam as the stuttering busboy, and Rob as the manager.  We shot the entire film in one weekend during the course of two long nights.  This film was a party favorite for years.
