We asked for some nice eye candy for you readers for Blood Deep and DeadHorse has delivered with some nice pictures and some details on their film previously unknown. To kick things off here is a sexy picture of the two female leads in the film. Jeridan Frye (Katie) pictured with Co-star Amy Christine (Robin).

A reunion of childhood friends turns deadly when one of the guests unwittingly admits to murder. In 1979 a young boy is thought missing until his charred remains are soon found in a vacant field. Twenty-five years later a gathering of old friends reveals a murderous secret.

High school sweethearts, Jamie and Wil, move back to their hometown and announce their engagement to a group of reunited childhood friends. In attendance are Cal, who still carries a flame for Jamie, although he is currently married to Jan; Sean and Jacob, brothers who have suddenly, and tragically, inherited an enormous family fortune; and Jamieâ€™s best friend, Robin, who brings along college roommate Eliza, a psychology student trained in hypnosis. Elizaâ€™s talents soon become the life of the party but, while under hypnosis, one of the guests unwittingly confesses to murder. Before the night is over the killing will begin again.

When asked about the films status and distribution here is what Kathy had to say

The film is shot. It was shot on super 35 mm film (so it's anamorphic) at Universal Studios. We're in post production now. We will hold a screening in late May following Cannes, but before Labor Day. We already have major interest and offers from mid-level distribution companies from around the world.

We hold all rights, and think it might be the next indie break out that Cabin fever was last year. It can be described as Halloween meets Stand By Me.

An interesting mix comparing Stand by Me and Halloween, original to say the least. We were curious as to what the cast would be like and to say this movie has a cast with some experience would be safe to say, here is Kathy's casting reponse.

BLOOD DEEP stars Jordan Belfi (HBO's "Entourage"), Femi Emiola (NBC's "ER", ABC's "The Practice"), Jeridan Frye (NBC's "Profiler", ABC's "Two Guys and A Girl"), Gerald Hopkins ("General Hospital"), Ben McCain ("Lois & Clark," "Black Scorpion"), Amy Christine ( The Mortuary), Bo Foxworth (Summer Dreams: The Story of the Beach Boys), Cameron Zeidler ("Oliver Beene"), Kelli Nordhus ("The George Lopez Show"), and newcomer Richie Cunningham; with Peter Onorati (Man In the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story), Nina Kaczorowski (The Rundown, Austin Powers in Goldmember), Suzy McCoppin (Playboy TV), and Kim Delgado (Life as a House).

In producing BLOOD DEEP, the DHP again turned to the creative genius of Richard Miranda. Miranda is a graduate of Hollywood's finest school of make- up effects, Joe Blasco, and is credited as the chief make-up, weaponry and special effects artist on the set of 'Last Stop'. Miranda's credits also include Terminator III, Ghost Ship, Running Man, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Composer/Musician, Matt Reid Cohn, of the self titled Matt Reid Band, is also back on board after composing the original music for "Last Stop." Matt Reid Cohn is an original member of the popular 80's band Berlin. He is credited on numerous video and television series. Actor/Songwriter, Ben McCain (who plays the campus cop in Blood Deep) will lend his hit country song "Faith, Family, and Friends" to the film.
