Underworld Review

Well I was sittin around last night and I have had a copy of Underworld sitting around all summer and I hadn't watched it yet. Now all I had heard about this film was how bad it was. How corny all the werewolves were and so on and so on.

So I pretty much went into this film ready and wiling to give it a bad review. I've been giving good reviews the whole time I've been reviewing films here and I need a bad movie.. I didn't get it here.

The story very basically is Vampires vs Werewolves. Selene this hunter of werewolves finds out that the werewolves are tracking a human. So she captures him after he has been bitten by a werewolf and begins to fall in love with him. Lots of gun fu and lots of CGI ensues.

Now normally I really hate CGI and as a matter of fact I didn't mind it in this movie in some places. The werewolf transformations for example were horrid. Occasianlly they had a an actual actor in a werewolf costume.The opening scene however was way to confusing. I had no idea who the vampires were and who the "Lycans" were. It was cleared up later but it still left a bad impression.

I will have to say this movie starts out chaotic and than it starts getting good. But then towards the end I was disappointed again. The ending was cool but right before the very end of the film was blah..

Not bad of a movie. I would say rent it and see if its for you. If you really hate CGI, and I mean you can't stand CGI at all you probably won't like this movie. So that leaves me with a 7 out of 10.
