Butterfly Effect 2 on the Fast Track

Seems that The Butterfly Effect has  a sequel in the works, according to Variety. I really enjoyed the first film. I did not think Ashton Kutcher got near enough credit for his role in that film.  Easily his best role and one of the best movies of that year. FilmEngine is now working on a sequel with New Line that will have all new characters.

I like that they are not bringing back Ashton or other characters, but it is also kind of silly to rehash the same story over and over. With that said the very talented John Leonetti has signed on to direct so you never know, it might just work. The story will follow a new character who just like Ashton Kutcher in the first, finds he can travel through time.

As he changes past events, though, they have unexpected consequences in the present.... so in otherwords bad sh*t happens. The movie is being fast tracked so look for more on this film soon.
