New Actors join Il MarePosted by:According to news guru DJ Oscar-nominated actress Shohreh Aghdashloo, John Corbett and Ebon Moss-Bachrach have joined the cast of "Il Mare" (working title) for Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow. They join Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and Christopher Plummer in the picture, which is based on the 2000 Korean romance/sci-fi feature, "Siworae."
The story revolves around Reeves and Bullock who fall in love via a mysterious mailbox. Both live in the same house but in different times. They are able to send letters through time to one another via the magic mailbox and fall in love. Aghdashloo is set to play Bullock's medical colleague and confidante. Corbett will star as Bullock's former fiance. Moss-Bachrach will play Reeves' younger brother. In the Korean version it is the story of an extraordinary relationship that literally spans time. It begins when Sung, a young woman living in 1997 receives a letter from Unju, who lives two years in the future. The two manage to continue a correspondence across time and gradually fall in love. Now, the only obstacle remaining between the would-be couple is the problem of trying to meet face to face in a time where they're both in love. source: dj
