New Cast for Final Destination 3

According to DJ our new contributing writer Ryan Merriman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will star in "Cheating Death: Final Destination 3. Our own Goon had a chance to talk to Tony Todd about this earlier. Here is an earlier report on Final Destination and the whole 3d angle.

While I was attending the Twisted Nightmare Weekend, I got the chance to talk with Candyman aka Tony Todd. I asked him about the one movie that everyone wants to know about Final Destination 3. He said that they had given him the heads up because they really like his character. I pressed on about what the story would entail and whether they were going to use the 3-D amusement park. Todd said that they were playing around with a couple of ideas but that they are going to be giving the movie a 3-D effect.

This got me going I expressed interest in the glasses approach and he said they had thought about that but thought it would hurt DVD sales. So right now they are working on using a type of lens to give it a 3-D effect without the glasses. Great news, especially for Final Destination fans. Can you imagine those death scenes in 3-D?

I was also interested on who was going to direct the film and he said James Wan.. "You know hes got that movie SAW coming out". I immediately went into praise SAW mode because that has been number one on my list to see since it debuted. Now this got me a litte confused because I think Todd got his directors mixed up James Wong directed the first Final Destination. So I think he got the directors mixed up.

To wrap up my conversation with him I asked what else he had on the horizon. Coming up soon he will be doing a movie called "Shadow". Which from what I gather will be a thriller/horror type of film. Todd also said later he will be doing a western. So like he told me "Take your pick."
